This year, Lord, come close and capture our attention,

About the liturgies

Four contemplative prayer liturgies and accompanying coloring pages for use during Advent.  “Like” the LEAD Facebook page to receive occasional posts with photos, artwork, prayers, and reflections. Each of the 2-page liturgies, written by Lynn Willis, include:

  • Invocation
  • Confession
  • Scripture Readings
  • Prayer
  • Time of Silence*
  • Blessing

For use by individuals, congregations or small groups during Advent, each is illustrated with original art by Vonda Drees. The images are available in a variety of styles allowing you to customize them for your personal use or for your congregation. The four weekly cover designs can be combined into a single collage as shown at the bottom of this page.

How to use?


  • As part of Sunday worship during Advent
  • For special mid-week Advent services
  • Worshipers could be invited to color the black and white versions during a period of quiet reflection


  • As personal devotions during Advent
  • Coloring the black and white versions provides time to reflect on the messages

  • As pieces are completed, combine them to create a collage
