If this year was a road trip, we would be tempted to park the car.

The goals we originally set for the year are either frustrating us as we constantly deal with other distractions or, worse yet, we are in a fog and so overwhelmed that we can’t even remember that we had any goals.

We haven’t met a church leader yet who hasn’t whispered to themselves, “I didn’t sign up for this!”

A great way forward is to make a 100-day map. This is a practice of moving to micro-goals. We’ve taken LEAD’s proven Roadmap Process and modified it for developing this 100-day plan.

You can end the year knowing more deeply that you are part of a Christian leadership community, being reminded of God’s grace, and feeling like you are moving incrementally towards your goals.

Here’s the plan:

August 20 and 27: Make the 100-day plan with the Fall Roadmap
September 1: Launch the plan
October 20: Mid-trip refuel and check in (optional, no cost)
December 9: Final refuel and check in (optional, no cost)

To quote a great poet:

On the road again
I just can’t wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin’ music with my friends
And I can’t wait to get on the road again.

On the road again
Goin’ places that I’ve never been
Seein’ things that I may never see again
And I can’t wait to get on the road again.
