Setting Goals that Matter

Every congregational leader sets ministry goals, but how do you prioritize and set the goals that matter most? If you really want to make an impact, to move the needle on your strategic plan, or to get to a new destination, you need goals that work for you.

This workshop will look at goals from two different perspectives: technical / adaptive and inward / outward. This goal-setting matrix will help you lead your council, committee, team or even yourself! We will draw on one section of the Faithful Metrics book (included in your registration fee) to open up the idea of setting goals that matter.

Faithful Metrics is a field guide for congregational leaders who have already discovered that measuring how many and how much is discouraging but are not sure why or what to do about it.

Each participant will receive a copy of Faithful Metrics that can help launch a conversation and lead to a movement in your faith community.

Bring a group – council, staff, ministry team – and learn together!
